Swan Leverless - Black (Pen 2496)

Nib: 14 Kt Medium Stub

SOLD

This is a Swan Leverless from the late 1930s or 1940s. It has an interesting interlocking rings cap band. As a leverless pen, you turn a knob at the end of the barrel about 3/4 of a turn (not more) to suck up ink. Inside the pen, there's a rod attached to the filling knob that catches the sac and twists it - the mechanism by which ink is pulled into the pen. This one fills well. The nib is an interesting 14 kt gold medium stub. Condition is excellent other than a bit of brassing on the ball of the clip. 5 1/4", 133 mm.
