Wahl-Eversharp Equipoise in Jade (Pen 392)

Nib: 14 Kt Fine Manifold Nib

Sometimes when you see jade pens from the 1920s and 30s now, you wonder, "Why was this color so popular? It looks like spinach." Then you come across a pen like this one. The jade isn't perfect - there's some darkening of the cap where the nib sat and the barrel at the end closest to the cap, but mostly it's a very attractive green. I'd give it a 7.5 on the Jade ideal scale. There are some fine scratches near the top of the cap, but you need to look closely to see them. The nib is a stiff fine manifold. Manifold nibs were intended to write through multiple layers of paper, usually with Carbon paper inserted between. 5 3/8", 135 mm.
