Parker

Parker and Waterman are old American pen companies that migrated to Europe for business reasons. Both are currently owned by Newell Rubbermaid.  Both have made wonderful pens through the century. I'm particularly fond of Parker Vacumatics and Duofold Juniors. English Parkers are also wonderful writers, often with flexible nibs

Danish Parker Duofold - Big Red
Targa Targa

There must be a story to this Streamlined Parker Duofold Senior.  The imprint isn't that sharp, but you can see both the "Made in USA" and the round anchor mark that Parker put on its Danish pens. The nib is a Penol Ambassador. No question it's Danish!  Firm fine. The feed is the Christmas tree style.  New sac.  Button filler.  Faint imprint, a few short scratches, and brassing of the clip ball and cap bands.   5 3/16", 132 mm.

Danish Parker Popular - Terracotta
Targa Targa

A very pretty mid-size Danish Parker.  It's really pretty, in excellent condition, with a very clear imprint (and Danish Anchor symbol).  The nib is a firm fine (maybe extra fine) Vacumatic style nib (USA).    5 1/4", 132 mm.

English Parker Duofold
Targa Targa

This is a standard sized English Parker Duofold. It has an aerometric filler.  Exellent imprint and the chalk price marks are still present.  The 18 Kt nib feels like a medium. Condition is like-new.   5 5/16", 135 mm.

Mandarin Parker Duofold Set
Targa TargaTargaTarga

This is the iconic Mandarin Yellow Streamlined Duofold from the 1920s. This set comes with the senior sized pen, box, and a working pencil.  The pen cap, like most Mandarins, has small cracks. In this case they've been very well restored (by someone before me).  The close up shows the cracks.  The nib is a medium, but I'd be unlikely to use this pen - these are rare because the plastic is very brittle, so they're really mostly display pieces (in truth).  Other than some brassing of the clip ball and tiny areas of brassing on the cap bands, there are no other issues.  The box shows a some wear, but it's quite intact and very cool.

Parker Duofold Centennial
Targa Targa

Spectacularly gorgeous pearl and black modern Duofold in like-new condition. Cartridge-converter filler.  Nib is an 18 Kt. medium.  The smaller, International size.  5 3/8", 137 mm.

Danish Parker Duofold
Targa Targa

A very attractive black Duofold, made in Denmark. It's a two jewel model, with a button filler under the blind cap.  Great imprint. The nib is a 14 Kt fine/medium (more fine). Some deskwear to the plastic, otherwise no problems.  5 1/4", 134 mm.

Price: $120 with Free Shipping in the US

Danish "New" Parker Duofold
Targa TargaA very nice and lightly used "New Parker Duofold" (which it says on the imprint).  The pen is an aerometric filler, and for all intents and purposes is like the English Duofolds.  14Kt fine nib. Very little wear, great imprint.  Pretty burgundy color is more red than it appears on my screen. 5 1/8", 131 mm.

Price: $100 with Free Shipping in the US

Danish Parker Duofold
Targa TargaA practical Danish Duofold with an aluminum button filler.  The nib is a replacement warranted 14 Kt XF - a good nib for editing.  A bit of wear to the imprint - otherwise very good condition.  5 1/8", 130 mm.

Red Hard Rubber Senior Duofold
sb42.jpg sb42.jpg sb42.jpg

An imperfect but still nice Red Hard Rubber Senior Duofold.  What's wrong? A very small chip and lip crack, for one. There's no pressure on the lip when the pen is fully posted, so there's no reason this should get worse.  But it is there.  The cap band is fairly brassed (could be polished to hide it, but it's still brassed). The barrel threads are black. When rubbed, they smell like rubber, but feel like plastic (I'd bet the latter).  The imprint is a bit worn, but completely present (see the middle photo).  And the spring is a two-piece spring, like those in a streamlined Duofold. Nib is fine and semi-flexible.   5 1/2", 139 mm.

Price: $300 with Free Shipping in the US

French Parker 75
Targa Targa

A very attractive Parker 75 in black lacquer finish.  The nib is an 18 Kt fine, and does not rotate, as some older 75s do.  Mild desk wear. Cartridge/converter (converter included).  5 1/8", 130 mm.

Price: $115 with Free Shipping in the US SOLD

 Parker 21
dbc11 dbc11

Parker 21s are not fancy, but most of them are also cracked. This one is not! A pretty blue in nearly perfect shape. Fine steel nib.  Aerometric filler. 5 3/8", 135 mm.

Price: $60 with Free Shipping in the US - Price Reduced - $50 SOLD

English Parker Duofold Maxima
Targa Targa

English Parker Duofold Maximas are large pens. They're incredibly reliable, using the aerometric filling system.  The imprint on this one is pretty worn, but the pen is otherwise in great shape.  The nib feels like a fine. It's marked 35 4 - typical for Senior instead of Maxima - although the pen cap is clearly a Maxima.   5 5/8", 142 mm.
