Parker

Parker and Waterman are old American pen companies that migrated to Europe for business reasons. Both are currently owned by Newell Rubbermaid.  Both have made wonderful pens through the century. I'm particularly fond of Parker Vacumatics and Duofold Juniors. English Parkers are also wonderful writers, often with flexible nibs

Nassau Green Parker 51 Set
pen643 pen643pen643 pen643

SB393 - The Nassau Green color in Parker 51s is quite uncommon and collectible.  This one is in great condition, and includes the fountain pen and working mechanical pencil. Fine nib on the pen. The box shows mild wear.  I've changed the diaphragm for the Vacumatic filler. The pencil uses 0.9 mm lead. Engraved name on both: "D.S. Renninger." As a footnote, this was found in the wild on the coast of Carolina. 5 3/8", 135 mm.

SB 400 - English Parker Duofold in very dark burgundy.  New sac.  Moderate surface wear, but no deep scratches. Nice imprint. Almost no brassing. 14Kt nib medium looks like it was straightened at some point, but it works well now.  Button filler. A practical everyday pen.  5 1/4"; 133 mm.

Parker 65 Signet
ha42 ha42

SB386 - This is an English Parker 65 Signet with an American aerometric filler inside.  Minor dents to the gold-plated cap and barrel.  The smooth writing 14 kt nib appears to have been bent at some point, but it's currently a very nice writer. Engraved letters "ICL" on the barrel. This could be a great, guilt-free every day pen.  5 1/4", 133 mm.

Price: $100 inclusive of free shipping in the US

SB 390 - Danish Parker Duofold.  New sac.  Moderate surface wear, but no deep scratches. Very little brassing. The crud on the 14Kt nib is gone now. It's an XF that flexes to fine (no more) - but it is real flex.  Button filler. A practical everyday pen.  5 1/4"; 133 mm.

Red Hard Rubber Senior Duofold
sb42.jpg sb42.jpg sb42.jpg

An imperfect but still nice Red Hard Rubber Senior Duofold.  What's wrong? A very small chip and lip crack, for one. There's no pressure on the lip when the pen is fully posted, so there's no reason this should get worse.  But it is there.  The cap band is fairly brassed (could be polished to hide it, but it's still brassed). The barrel threads are black. When rubbed, they smell like rubber, but feel like plastic (I'd bet the latter).  The imprint is a bit worn, but completely present (see the middle photo).  And the spring is a two-piece spring, like those in a streamlined Duofold. Nib is fine and semi-flexible.   5 1/2", 139 mm.

Parker Striped Duofold Senior
Targa Targa

PEN1968 - The Striped Duofold came in several variations. This is a 1943 Senior, with a Vacumatic filler.  The barrel transparency is so-so.  The nib is the correct gold nib with an XF nib.  Other than transparency, the condition is excellent.  5 3/8", 135 mm.

ha42 ha42

SB396 - For fans of large black pens, this is a very nice Parker Duofold Maxima. It's an aerometric filler.  No brassing or scratches. The imprint is nearly perfect. Nib is a firm 14 Kt  fine that leans toward medium, but barely.   5 5/8", 144 mm.

Price: $140 inclusive of free shipping in the US SOLD

Parker Parkette - Faceted
Targa Targa

SOL 62 - Parkette's were Parker's 2nd line during the 1930s. This one is interesting because of the faceted barrel and cap.  Lever filler.  It has a steel XF nib with mostly worn two-tone gold plating.  5", 128 mm.

Price: $100 with Free Shipping in the US SOLD

English Parker Duofold Maxima
ha42 ha42

SB384 - For fans of large black pens, this is a very nice Parker Duofold Maxima. It's an aerometric filler.  No brassing or scratches. The imprint is a little light but clear. Nib is a firm 14 Kt medium that leans toward fine.   5 5/8", 144 mm.

Price: $140 inclusive of free shipping in the US SOLD

Parker 65
ha42 ha42

SB380 - Parker 65 with an aerometric filler.  The cap is 12 Kt rolled gold.  The 14 Kt nib is broad, non-flexible (but has some give).  A very usable pen for someone who likes a broad nib.  In nearly new condition - the nib shows dried ink, but the pen is otherwise mint in appearance.  5 7/16", 137 mm

Price: $135 inclusive of free shipping in the US - SOLD

Parker Lucky Curve Duofold Junior
pen643 pen643

Parker Lucky Curve Duofold Junior - smells like orange hard rubber. The feed still has the lucky curve, which I know since I installed a new sac and spring. Fine gold Duofold nib. Some brassing of band and clip.   4 5/8", 116 mm.

Price: $115 with free shipping in the US SOLD

Parker T-1
dbc11 dbc11 dbc11

Parker made the Space Age T-1 out of titanium.  That turned out to be a problem because of the difficulty of working with the materials, and reportedly they lost money on every pen they sold. They didn't make them long, and the similar looking Falcon was soon to follow. Despite the pen's reputation, this one has a very smooth fine-medium nib.  Cartridge/converter.  Light engraved initials "W R H" in script. Some barrel wear but no dings.  5 1/8", 130 mm

Price: $400 with Free Shipping in the US SOLD
