Pelikan has been making wonderful piston-filled pens since
1929. The company had its roots in the 1870s, when it began as a maker of inks. The pens are often similar in
appearance, and I'll confess I find it difficult to determine one model from another. The best aspect to a Pelikan
is not its looks, but how the pens write. They are among the best, and very reliable.

Pelikan 400NN
|
Dating from 1956-1965 or so, the Pelikan 400NN is a nicely
made piston filler. The barrel is translucent, so the ink level is easy to
monitor. This one is in great shape - nearly new looking. Nib is a 14C fine.
5 1/4", 132 mm.
Price: $200 inclusive of S/H/I

Pelikan 120
|
The Pelikan 120 is a pretty basic pen, but nibs are interchangeable, and they're nicely
made piston fillers. Under the cap there's a pretty green translucent ink-view chamber. The nib in this 120 is
currently a steel fine. Basic black... 5 1/4", 132 mm. Some wear to the metal parts and cap band.
Price: $75 inclusive of S/H/I

Pelikan 100N Set
|
This Pelikan set dates from around 1938-39, although it looks
like it was made yesterday. Note the transparency of the barrel. I did a
little cosmetic work on the cap - but you shouldn't notice (that's the point!).
Medium 14 kt nib bordering on oblique (there's good fine-medium line width
variation. The pencil works well. Pen is 4 3/4", 120 mm.
Price: $375 inclusive of S/H/I
