French Parker La Plume (SB 521)

Nib: Fine 18 Kt

This is a very uncommon Parker "La Plume", also known as the "Double Or Lamine" (which is engraved on the cap). The cap is rolled gold, the barrel black. It's an aerometric filler, and that ties to one of the oddities: the filler unit is from London, England. The pen externally looks like a Parker 51, but the cap screws on (it's not a slip-cap). From the mid-1950s. French 18 Kt fine nib (leaning toward medium). 5 1/4", 134 mm.
