| Pelikan
300 |

I believe this is a Pelikan 300, a relatively uncommon model made 1953-1957 for
export to European markets. The size and shape match those of this hard to find
model. The nib is a rigid fine 14 Kt. 5
3/16", 131 mm. (Cap 61 mm)

| Duofold Maxima
with Stub |

I've had to do some nib work on this big and otherwise very good Duofold
Maxima. It has a little brassing to the cap and tassie rings, but very clean
plastic and a reliable aerometric filler. The nib is an extremely
smooth broad stub with just a little flex on top. Fun for big signatures. 5
5/8", 143 mm.

| Canadian Waterman - Flex Nib |

Burgundy Canadian Waterman lever filler in great shape. Main wear is to the
barrel (from cap wear and posting). The nib is delightful. Very flexible,
it ranges from a wide medium to broad with very little pressure. There's
one cavaet: a fine crack or deep scratch at the base of the nib. I've filled the
pen, used it, and there's no leakage through the crack/scratch at all. The
nib is cleaner than when I shot the picture. Lever filler, new sac. 5 1/16", 130 mm.

| Parker Sonnet Firedance |
Sonnets are cartridge converter fillers. This one has a gold plated fine-medium
steel nib (some Sonnets have gold nibs). The nib is a very, very smooth
writer. Made in France. 5 1/4", 134 mm. Light desk wear. The
Firedance pattern is black and red lacquer over brass - very attractive.

| Parker
Duofold Senior |
This is a dark blue English Duofold Senior. The nib is a #35 14 Kt fine.
The problem is a crack in the cap that I've repaired, but you can still see where
it ran. Cap lip cracks are never as stable as the original plastic, no
matter how well repaired. So this one is discounted quite a bit. Great nib.
Aerometric filler. 5 1/2", 140 mm.

| Parker 51 Special - Burgundy - Mint |

This is an aerometric Parker 51 Special, which means an Octanium nib and
lighter filler system. The cap is shiny Lustraloy. The price label is still
intact and indicates a medium nib. The filler system looks clean and
unused. I had a burgundy barrel to compare to and thought this was
plum, but the Mark II barrels are more red than regular aerometrics. Since
Specials were only made in burgundy (and four other colors) this must be
burgundy.

Wahl-Eversharp Oxford Set
|

A very pretty set. Oxford was one of Wahl's economy line during the 1930s. The
color on my screen is a bit more red than this set really is - there's an
element of pink-purple mixed with the predominant red in the real color. The nib
is small, 14Kt, and very fine. Very little brassing, great imprints. The
pen is 4 7/8", 124 mm.

| Red Hard Rubber Senior Duofold |
An imperfect but still nice Red Hard Rubber Senior Duofold. What's wrong?
A very small chip and lip crack, for one. There's no pressure on the lip when
the pen is fully posted, so there's no reason this should get worse. But
it is there. The cap band is fairly brassed (could be polished to hide it,
but it's still brassed). The barrel threads are black. When rubbed, they smell
like rubber, but feel like plastic (I'd bet the latter). The imprint is a
bit worn, but completely present (see the middle photo). And the spring is
a two-piece spring, like those in a streamlined Duofold. Nib is fine and
semi-flexible. 5 1/2", 139
mm.
